A fresh take on youth journalism.

Nick News challenged us to reboot their brand and create motion templates to entertain and inform today’s young digital generations. Their new visual identity needed to balance the seriousness of their news stories while staying true to Nickelodeon’s animated identity.

We heard directly from the editors, Justin Coloma and Mainak Dhar, that they loved it. And hey, they took home an Emmy in 2023 for Outstanding Editing for a Multiple Camera Live Action Program using our brand package.

A modular wordmark pushes and pulls the boundaries of whatever content Nick News’ editors can throw at, inside, and around it.

Interstitials, bumpers,
backgrounds, and bugs!

We created masks from the modular letterforms so editors could apply templates to footage transitions with drag-and-drop ease.

Easily customizable video elements utilize the entire Nick News palette, paired with bespoke lower thirds and chyrons that automatically scale to fit their content.
